A one-of-a-kind handmade ceramic mugs created for lovers of bees, flowers and beautifully detailed functional pottery.
This unique mug features sculpted bees across the surface, each individually hand-painted and carefully finished through a three-stage firing process. The bees are paired with a sculpted sunflower thumb rest, designed to sit comfortably beneath your thumb while adding another tactile detail to the piece.
The sunflower is finished with gold lustre, while delicate touches of gold lustre highlight the bees’ wings, creating a subtle shimmer against the beautiful pink tones of the glaze.
A honeycomb pattern forms part of the lower section of the mug, bringing the bee and sunflower elements together. A combination of SPECTRUM and Mayco glazes has been used to create the layered pink hues and depth of colour across the surface.
Every mug is individually made, painted and finished by hand, so no two will ever be exactly alike. Each one has its own character, making this a functional piece of ceramic art as well as an everyday mug.
This mug is created through multiple stages of making and firing. The sculpted bees and sunflower are attached before the piece is glazed and fired. The bees are individually hand-painted and the mug undergoes three firing processes to achieve the finished result.
The final gold lustre details are applied to the sunflower and bee wings, adding a subtle metallic finish that catches the light.
Because each piece is handmade, variations in colour, glaze movement, texture and individual details are to be expected. These are not imperfections; they are part of what makes each mug an original piece of ceramic artwork.
Care: Hand washing is recommended to protect the gold lustre detailing. Avoid abrasive cleaners or scrubbing directly over the lustre surfaces.

Australia Post is my preferred carrier for parcels. International shipping is offered on all items. Canvases will be removed from the frames wherever possible to reduce postage costs. This can be discussed prior to purchase. While I do everything to package your purchases safely, if your order is not what you expected, e.g., in size, colour, shape, or damaged in transit, I’m here to help. Customs and import taxes:
Buyers are responsible for any customs and import taxes that may apply. The value of your item will be declared on your form. This is based on the order total including any discounts. I do not include shipping or tax charges when calculating the declared value, only the items’ price and quantity. I’m not responsible for delays due to customs.
United States Orders & Tariffs:
Due to current U.S. import regulations, orders shipped to the United States are subject to an additional 10% import duty on all ceramics and a 12.5% tariff. These charges are applied to U.S. orders and will be included in your personalised quotation.
