One of the most important things in commissioning your portrait is having a good photo reference to ensure a good quality portrait. An ideal photo would be in natural light, front face on and at eye level. The better the photograph the better the portrait. High resolution digital photo’s work best.

We will discuss background colour depending on the photo provided and the subject. i.e  A white dog is more difficult to see on white background.

I understand that if you are requesting a memorial portrait it is impossible to obtain additional digital photos. As long as I have a workable photo I will try my best to portray your pet as best as possible.

If you would like a full body portrait instead of just the head and neck, I will give you a price depending on the detail required and how many pets. For more than one subject in a portrait please contact me for an accurate quote.

I do request a ‘Signed Agreement’ and upfront payments prior to the commencement of any commission work.
